TEACHING PRACTICE REFLECTION WEEK 5

FIFTH WEEK REFLECTION [Aug 1 - Aug 5]

The climate condition was not good this week. District Collector declared holidays on August 2 & 3 due to heavy rains in most districts of Kerala . So there were only 3 working days. 

SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

We reached the school at 09:15 am and signed the register on a daily basis. We served lunch to students at mess hall daily, which was really a good experience to all of us.

There was folk song competition conducted by Vidyarangam kala sahitya vedi on 4th August.

CLASS EXPERIENCE

In this week i got only 7 periods in total. 

Monday I got two extra periods in addition to my regular period . At fourth hour , I have covered my topic at 9D and fifth hour I had class at 8D, there I have informed students regarding a test paper on previous chapter "Motion". Seventh period also was for 8D, which helped me to cover contact and non contact force for them .

On 4th August , Thursday,I had class at 9E for fourth hour. I taught them about Newton's first law of motion by linking examples from daily life situations. 

Fifth and sixth period was for 9D , there I have covered two lesson plans. After that i had class at 8D for last hour.

On 5th August,Viji ma'am came to the school for observation. Praveen sir from our college was also there for observation of the Malayalam students. Sir gave us sweets for getting doctorate and offered a treat for entire students of our college on coming Saturday. We congratulated sir for his achievement.  

 Viji ma'am first observed Sruthi's class and during second hour viji ma'am observed my class. I was really confident about taking classes, but I am not satisfied with the way I have performed in the class.There was an unwanted tension with light shivering of hands in the beginning. Even though I was tensed , I have somehow covered the topic clearly and students were able to understand the content.

 The presentations have not worked the way , it was meant to be, but I have somehow managed it. I conveyed the portion systematically and followed the lesson plan, but still not fully satisfied about the way I have performed.

 I got three rings from students 8F as a token of love.

Students from 8E and 8D invited me to join them during Sargavela at last hour. As per my promise on last Friday I went to 8F. 

I Promised to join 8E next friday . It was a nice experience for me. I was sad about my observation class, but that mood got changed to a good vibe after that sargevela.
