  WEEKLY REFLECTION It's crazy how fast time flies and how things progress. This week gave me handful of experiences and cheerful memories. When something feels like ours, we start loving it.   In order to understand the role of the teacher in the 21st Century, it is important to consider the historical role of the teacher. For centuries,  The teacher held the position of absolute authoritative power and was the holder, and dispenser of knowledge. Students worked to achieve curricular objectives designed and assessed by the teacher, and were given extrinsic motivators like grades and rewards as reasons to memorize information and demonstrate understanding of taught concepts. In contrast, the digital age represents an important time of educational change. The role of the teacher is evolving as new, digital, epistemologies form in an increasingly connected and networked world.
